I wasn't prepared for how good it really is: it's not just a suspense classic, but a beautifully executed example of filmmaking.

Tonight's nonprofit partner is Friends of Refugees, a registered 501(c)3 started in 2010 in response to the influx of Middle-eastern refugees coming to Portland.
They exist to help refugees not just survive, but thrive in their new home.
Serving through relationship, they come alongside new arrivals and help them navigate their new lives in the City of Roses.
In partnership with local churches, Friends of Refugees strives to
• assist in furnishing apartments
• getting kids registered in school
• starting businesses
• cultural mentoring
• teaching English, driving, & citizenship classes
• and more.
Above all, they develop the genuine friendships that are so essential in feeling at home in a new country. New arrivals become old friends. Since its inception, Friends of Refugees has helped hundreds of refugee families in the Portland area to adjust, adapt, and make their home in the Pacific NW.
