Things are really f*cked up right now. And here on Clinton Corner, we're doing our bit to make things better.
Every Monday night, come to the Clinton Street Theater, enjoy a film on the big screen (the way it should be seen!), make friends, have a few laughs, scream, cry and raise money for a good cause.
Tonight's nonprofit recipient is Investments for Developing Communities.
Investments for Developing Communities, IDC, understands that people impact the environment. Our education and economic development programs with under-served people are thoughtfully designed and implemented with this idea in mind: that there is a constant and reciprocal interaction between humans and the environment. Working both locally and internationally, IDC uses the PHE(Population, Health and Environment) model to guide our vision of a healthy balance between all people and the environment they live in.
"HEALTHY People. Healthy Environment. A JusT WORLD."
Zemeckis and Gale have given the movie a core of feeling that makes real claims on us. For all its comedy, Back to the Future is about a kid coming to terms with his parents' inadequacies, a moment familiar to everyone, and the fulcrum in growing up.
